Description

The cult game Scotland Yard is now available with a new look as a Sherlock Holmes and his team hunt the mysterious criminal Moriarty. The chase takes place across the city and the detectives have to work together to catch him.

What would Sherlock Holmes be without his companions Dr. Watson, Inspector Lestrade, his brother Mycroft and Irene Adler? Nothing considering there's a devious villain roaming the streets of London. Players slip into popular roles from the Arthur Conan Doyle novels and experience an exciting chase on the streets of London. The pursued Moriarty is rarely spotted so in order to stop Moriarty, the detectives must use teamwork and their special abilities. Als Detektiv durch London

Wir waren totale Scotland Yard Neulinge, kannten weder das klassische Spiel, noch die Sherlock Holmes Edition, als wir letztere zum ersten Mal spielten. Umso begeisterter waren wir, dass in diesem Spiel zwei Versionen vereint sind. Man kann sowohl das ganz klassische Scotland Yard spielen, als auch die Sherlock Variante mit besonderen neuen Regeln. Bis wir anfangen konnten zu spielen hat es allerdings etwas gedauert. Due Vorbereitungen vor dem ersten Spiel waren etwas zeitintensiv und auch die (nicht ganz kurze) Anleitung musste erstmal genau studiert werden. Nichtsdestotrotz war die Spielanleitung sehr verständlich geschrieben und man konnte die Regeln gut verstehen. Und die anfänglichen Mühen waren es mehr als wert. Das Spiel ist für die ganze Familie, gerade auch für ältere Spieler gut geeignet. Man kann in verschiedene Rollen schlüpfen, spielt gemeinsam als Detektive oder alleine als Bösewicht gegen die anderen. Das Spiel verbindet logisches Denken, Kooperationsfähigkeit, Strategie und vieles mehr und bleibt bis zum Schluss spannend. Die einzelnen Materialien sind sehr hochwertig, das Spiel sowie seine Bestandteile haben ein tolles Design und sind bis ins letzte Detail toll überdacht. (Ich war schon beim Auspacken von den tollen Spielfiguren begeistert). Das Spiel Scotland Yard, die Sherlock Holmes Edition, empfehle ich allen wärmstens weiter. Es ist ein tolles Spiel, welches niemals langweilig wird und einen in die Welt des viktorianischen Londons eintauchen lässt.

We were all the more excited that this game combines two versions. You can play both the classic Scotland Yard and the Sherlock version with special new rules. However, it took a while before we could start playing. The preparations before the first game were somewhat time-consuming and the (not very short) instructions had to be studied carefully first. Nevertheless, the instructions were written very clearly and the rules were easy to understand. And the initial effort was more than worth it. The game is suitable for the whole family, especially for older players. You can slip into different roles, play together as detectives or alone as the villain against the others. The game combines logical thinking, cooperation skills, strategy and much more and remains exciting right to the end. The individual materials are of very high quality, the game and its components have a great design and are well thought out down to the last detail. (I was thrilled by the fantastic game pieces as soon as I unpacked it). I highly recommend the Scotland Yard game, the Sherlock Holmes Edition, to everyone. It's a great game that never gets boring and immerses you in the world of Victorian London.
