Stick jigsaws together with the Puzzle Conserver Permanent

With the Puzzle Conserver Permanent, you can enjoy your jigsaw for a long time - even after doing the jigsaw itself. The glue has been specially developed for Ravensburger jigsaws and is therefore perfect for your jigsaws and photo jigsaws. Secure your jigsaw effortlessly with the jigsaw glue before you mount it or hang it up. In addition, the Puzzle Conserver Permanent keeps the colours brighter for longer by sealing the surface of the jigsaw and permanently locking in the colours.

The liquid jigsaw glue can be used immediately: With the help of the integrated sponge, you can apply the glue directly to the surface of the jigsaw, straight out of the bottle. Evenly distributed, the Puzzle Conserver should dry clearly in around one hour.

A bottle of Puzzle Conserver Permanent contains 200 ml. This amount of jigsaw puzzle glue will cover approximately 4000 jigsaw pieces (i.e. 2 photo jigsaws with 2000 pieces each, 4 jigsaws with 1000 pieces or 8 jigsaws with 500 pieces, etc).

Hanging your puzzle made easy with the Ravensburger Puzzle Conserver

Step 1: Gluing the Puzzle

To hang up a puzzle, you first need to glue it. This prevents the puzzle from falling apart into individual pieces when lifting it. Use the following instructions:

Place your completed puzzle face up on a flat surface. Baking paper works well as an underlay.
Shake the Puzzle Conserver well before use.
Apply the Puzzle Conserver carefully to the surface of the puzzle image. Pay attention to the recommended amount indicated on the bottle. Spread the conserver evenly across the puzzle.
Tip: Gently dab with the sponge and use circular motions, making sure the glue reaches the grooves between the puzzle pieces.
Important: Avoid forming “puddles,” as these areas will not dry transparent.
The glue dries after just one hour. However, it’s best to let the puzzle dry for a full day.

Once dry, the puzzle is sealed and its colors will remain vibrant permanently.

Step 2: Hanging the Puzzle

Puzzles up to 500 pieces:
For puzzles with up to 500 pieces, the adhesive strength of the Ravensburger Puzzle Conserver is sufficient. After attaching an adhesive hook, these puzzles can be hung directly on the wall.

Puzzles with more than 500 pieces:
Puzzles with more than 500 pieces need a backing for additional stability. A plywood board or a sturdy piece of cardboard works best for this. As an adhesive, we recommend white wood glue, wallpaper paste, or Ravensburger Puzzle Conserver.

Important Notes for Gluing the Puzzle

Shake the Conserver well (the adhesive components settle over time).
Do not store the Conserver below 0°C.
If the puzzle becomes too wet during application, the cardboard may swell.
If there are clumps in the Conserver, it is too old and can no longer be used; shaking the bottle helps you detect this easily.
Do not remove the sponge; to clean it, simply hold the Conserver under running water.
The Conserver should not be used for puzzles from other manufacturers.
