How to set up your tiptoi® charging station

Before you can use the charging station to automatically download audio files, it needs access to the internet via your home Wi-Fi network. This connection must be set up once at the beginning. Please follow these instructions to provide the charging station with your Wi-Fi credentials. If you haven’t done so already, connect the charging station to the included cable and power adapter, and plug it into the socket.

Step by Step Instruction

Step 1: Prepare the charging station

Place your tiptoi pen (4th generation) into the charging station. The Wi-Fi button on the charging station should now automatically light up orange. The station is now in setup mode.

Important:
If this does not happen, press the Wi-Fi button twice quickly to start the setup mode. This method also allows you to set up up to four additional connections.

Step 2: Connect your device to the pen

Connect your device (smartphone, tablet, or PC) to the charging station’s local Wi-Fi network:

Go to the Wi-Fi settings on the device you’re using to view this page. Select the available Wi-Fi network named “tiptoi_xxxxx.” This will connect your device directly to the charging station’s local Wi-Fi network.

Important:
You can ignore any message saying that the “tiptoi_xxxxx” network has no internet connection. After the setup, which only takes a few minutes, the “tiptoi_xxxxx” network will automatically turn off. Your device will usually reconnect automatically to your regular Wi-Fi network.

Step 3: Provide the charging station with your Wi-Fi credentials

To provide your Wi-Fi credentials to the charging station, open the web browser on your device. Enter the following IP address into the browser’s address bar: http://192.168.1.1/

Alternatively, click the button below on your device to set up the connection to your Wi-Fi network.

Now fill in the form with your Wi-Fi login details and then click the “Save” button. The charging station will now be connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Important:
Please make sure your device is connected to the “tiptoi_xxxxx” Wi-Fi network (as described in Step 2) before clicking the button. Otherwise, you might get an error message like “Page not found.”
